How can we turn a Code of Ethics into a way of thinking, making decisions and acting? And how can we ensure that its principles reach every employee across Grupo Lactogal?
This is the journey that Maria Antónia Cadillon, Executive Director People & Communication at Grupo Lactogal, discusses in an interview with RHmagazine, exploring how Ethics is becoming increasingly embedded in the organisation's daily activities.
The interview highlights some of the key milestones of our Ethics Programme: from the evolution of our Code of Ethics and Conduct and employee training to leadership engagement and the creation of spaces where we can discuss, question and reflect on real situations from our everyday working lives.
This journey has sought to make Ethics increasingly accessible, straightforward and present in our decisions and behaviours, regardless of our role or where we work. And this journey continues.
Among the initiatives currently being developed is the creation of a network of Ethics Ambassadors, made up of employees recognised for their credibility and the trust they inspire within their teams. This network will aim to keep conversations about ethical matters alive in everyday working life and act as a bridge between employees and the central Ethics function.
As Maria Antónia Cadillon points out, the goal is to ensure that Ethics is part of our daily lives. An ethical culture does not emerge from a Code alone. It is built through the choices we make, the way we interact with others and the decisions we take every day.
A culture that is written on paper but brought to life by each and every one of us.
