Grupo Lactogal's Cheeses awarded nine medals at the World Cheese Awards

The cheeses from the brands Castelões, Agros, and Santiago, of Grupo Lactogal, won nine medals at the 37th edition of the World Cheese Awards, the largest international competition dedicated to the cheese sector.

In total, the Group collected two gold medals and seven bronze medals, in an event held for the first time in Bern, Switzerland. This year's edition featured 5,244 cheeses from 46 countries, evaluated by an international panel of 265 judges, organized by the Guild of Fine Food. Portugal was represented with 28 cheeses distinguished among gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Among the main highlights is the Castelões Original Recipe Cheese, awarded a gold medal. The brand also received two bronze medals with the Castelões Amanteigado Cheese and the Castelões Cheese with Special Cure Coated with Paprika.

Agros was awarded a bronze medal for the Queijo Flamengo Bola, recognized for its consistency and flavor balance.

The Santiago brand received several distinctions, with the Queijo Cerrado do Vale Amanteigado Santiago winning the gold medal. Bronze medals were awarded to Queijo de Azeitão DOP, Queijo Alavão Amanteigado, Queijo Quinta do Olival, and Queijo Três Igrejas with Pepper of the Land.

The Group's portfolio was also distinguished with a bronze medal for the Queijo Flamengo Bola de Parafina, produced in Oliveira de Azeméis.

These distinctions reinforce the presence and recognition of the Lactogal Group's brands, highlighting the quality and diversity of its cheese portfolio.
