Pronicol strengthens sustainability on Terceira Island with solar energy

Pronicol, a Grupo Lactogal company on Terceira Island, has implemented a new solar power generation system, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.

The project, installed in the green area within the plant’s perimeter, includes 1,696 solar panels with an installed capacity of 1000 kWp, enabling around 12% of the unit’s annual energy needs to be met through clean energy.

This initiative will help avoid the emission of approximately 292 tonnes of CO₂ per year, equivalent to planting around 12,981 trees.

The investment is part of Grupo Lactogal’s sustainability strategy, focused on energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and building a more responsible and sustainable value chain.
