Projeto Cow-Water wins National Sustainability Award

The Cow-Water Innovation project, developed by Lactogal, was distinguished in the 5th edition of the National Sustainability Award, in the Environment area, in the Circular Economy category - in the large organizations segment.

It is an innovative solution that transforms the water resulting from our industrial milk processes into a sustainable resource, contributing to the reduction of potable water consumption and to the decrease of the environmental impact of the industrial activity of the Lactogal Group.

In 2024, at the Oliveira de Azeméis unit, the Cow-Water system allowed the return of more than 100 million liters of water to the water environment, reinforcing the Group's commitment to sustainability and responsible management of natural resources.

Among 91 applications in the areas of Environment, Social, and Governance, the jury distinguished the projects and organizations that stood out the most in the transition to a more sustainable future in Portugal.
