Born in 1992, Pronicol carries the heritage of Unicol, a cooperative that, for decades, refined the know-how of Azorean dairy products. Today, this tradition lives on in a company that combines the strength of the largest national dairy company, Lactogal, with the genuine spirit of Unicol.
The dairies of the Azores are distinguished by their origin in a territory of natural pastures, shaped by a mild climate, which allows for outdoor grazing for much of the year. In addition to these production units, both with IFS certification, the company's commercial presence extends to Angra do Heroísmo and Ponta Delgada, reinforcing a close connection to the communities it serves.
