Founded in 1996 by the three milk producer cooperatives — Agros, Proleite, and Lacticoop — and has maintained, since then, a close and continuous relationship with national production.
The company values about 790 million liters of 100% Portuguese milk, from approximately 1,000 producers who daily trust the valorization of their milk, playing a decisive role in the sustainability of local communities and territorial cohesion.
With a structure composed of 3 factories, 3 logistics platforms, and 8 commercial delegations distributed throughout Portugal, and a team of about 1,500 employees, Lactogal ensures a solid, efficient, and integrated operation at the national level. In a constantly evolving sector, it has been strengthening its presence with new brands, consolidating strategic partnerships, and continuously investing in the quality, safety, and innovation of its products, establishing itself as one of the main drivers of the Portuguese agri-food sector.
